Shipping Delay (But not in charging the Credit Card)

Ordered on Monday at 2:30 PM CDT...credit card charged instantly...look later order sent to warehouse...Tuesday I find one of the items they are still allowing people to buy is on back-order with no alert to consumer...item leaves next business day...nope. So now Wednesday...I wonder if they would be so kind as to ship what they already charged me for (no credit back on the item that was canceled due to being on back order). Side note...order item that was on back order at amazon.com...within fours hours of purchase with normal shipping, it was out their door with a tracking number picked up by ups will be here Thursday. Time to close my account here...to variable and random of service.

I would like to append my post by saying that a customer service representative contacted me and rectified the situation. According to the tracking information it appears that my items will arrive in time. While in the big picture these are trivial matters in our lives. I feel that PetCo should be very grateful to their customer service representatives...they my very well be saving the company. I find the technical infrastructure of PetCo's ordering system quite lacking or behind the times...anyway I will learn to order items a few days earlier than I would have normally. PetCo offers great discounts when ordering in bulk...free shipping (when offered) is even better...perhaps removing the 'leaves next day,' as it tends not to be the truth all the time. Thank-you for correcting the problem. PetCo really owes a debt to their customer service representatives.

That is funny, Amorth. I and many others have experience the same issues.

We place an order shown in stock, get charged INSTANTLY, even though the site says it won't charge until its shipped.

I place my order almost a week ago and the status keeps changing from Sent to Warehouse, Cancel Back Order, Sent to Warehouse, Cancel Back Order, every day......
