With summer in full swing, some pet parents are dreaming of a vacation away. However, some dogs are more comfortable in familiar surroundings.

Here are some savvy tips on how to have a great staycation with your dogs:

1. Go for a swim at a local dog beach, pool or lake! There are many types of dog breeds that are great swimmers. However, don't forget a life vest

I'm considering agility with my dog Josey... for now I just work with her on tricks.

Another great summer option is a good game of Soccer!! It helps you really get to know your dog... Laughing about the way the flip in the air after the ball, and chasing them for it after they get it, and even getting a drink of water after a good game.
