5 Helpful Tricks for Capturing Perfect Photos of Your Cat

By PetcoBlogger on Aug. 15, 2017

In the eyes of every pet parent, their cat is the most beautiful animal to ever walk to the earth. But anyone who has ever tried to photograph a cat knows it can be a real challenge to capture their spirit and personality on camera. This infographic offers some great tips to help you snap some purrfect photos of your feline friend.

1. Treat you cat. Offer yummy snacks before you start snapping and throughout the session.

2. Use favorite toys. Integrate your cat's favorite toys into the photo session. Try waving peacock feathers or pipe cleaners in front of your cat, so you can get those alert, ears-up poses.

3. Set up "photo traps". Kitty magnets, such as toilet paper rolls, open windows, boxes and bags, will help photo sessions go smoothly.

4. Get eye to eye. Meet your cat at eye level, even if it means lying on the floor. This makes it easier to get good, sharp images of their eyes.

5. Keep it simple. Pay attention to the backgroud. Your cat should be the focal point of the picture, so opt for a backdrop that is not buys. Also, consider your pet's fur color and choose a contrasting background.
